Nigh ("we," "our," or "the app") is a GPS-based departure time calculator for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Location Data: Nigh accesses your device's GPS location to calculate travel times between your current location, home, and event destinations. Location data is processed on-device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Calendar Data: If you grant permission, Nigh can read your iOS calendar to import events. Calendar data is processed on-device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Events & Profile Data: Events you create, your home address, and get-ready time preferences are stored on-device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud, this data syncs across your devices via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure.
Departure Records: Nigh stores anonymized departure timing data (on-time, late, early) on-device for your personal metrics. This data is not shared with third parties.
Subscription Data: Subscription status is managed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not collect or store payment information.
All data processing occurs on your device for the sole purpose of calculating departure times, displaying Live Activities, sending departure notifications, and showing your on-time metrics. No data leaves your device except through Apple's CloudKit sync (if enabled by you).
All app data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If iCloud sync is enabled, data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. We do not operate our own servers for storing user data.
Apple MapKit: We use Apple's MapKit to calculate travel time estimates. Map requests are handled by Apple's servers and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Apple StoreKit: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. Payment data is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's privacy practices.
Apple CloudKit: If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud container. We cannot access your iCloud data.
Nigh is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the Nigh app from your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, you can remove synced data through Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
